Right wing conservatives have always fascinated me.  When their spiritual leader, George W. Bush decided to give the wealthiest one percent of Americans a huge tax break, arguably leading the country into the worst economic period since the Great Depression, they weren’t throwing bricks through windows, or threatening to kill people.  But a democrat does something they don’t like, and all of a sudden they all join militias and start blowing things up.  It continues to fascinate me.

While I understand these tea party folks are angry (you’d have to be a certified idiot not to figure that out from some of their rabid protests), and I think I sort of understand what they’re angry about, I can’t for the life of me understand the degree to which they have taken their fight.  What’s even more frustrating is that statistically, there must be a reasonable portion of these people that posses above average intelligence, and yet no one can communicate to the outside world exactly what their particular complaints are.

Every time I write one of these posts, I somehow get on a list of “bad” sites, and our server gets choked with people frothing at the mouth to comment, and unfortunately, usually the comments prove that what I just wrote was dead on.

There are many retail stores offering great discounts after Christmas. While not all items are on sale, the majority are heavily discounted. The great thing about most retail stores offering the post Christmas sale is that that the sale will go on till Dec 31.  Unlike Black Friday, only a few stores are offering free shipping irrespective of the money spent. Most stores are offer free shipping if more than $75 worth of items is bought. The other great thing is that many stores have the same price online as the retail store.

Save as much as 60 percent off regular prices at many of the stores. Selected holiday items have an additional 25 percent off. The sale at these stores beings on Dec 26 and will last till Dec 31.

Of course E bay does not have discounts, but you can rest assured that it has some of the lowest bidding in town. If you do not mind something refurbished or perhaps a little scratched, E bay is the place to go. Everything on E bay is discounted and there are hundreds of items. However, eBay bidding requires time and if you do not have time or patience, then perhaps a visit to Wal-Mart, Best buy or Amazon may be the next best option. Mind you, today, you do not have to walk to any of these stores anymore- just go on line.

Since these stores are offering a sale till Dec 31, take your time and compare prices. Most have prices listed on the websites. Do not worry if a store tells you that they have run out off items that you need. Just look around and then there is always Wal Mart.

Amazon.com is a unique player in the Cyber Week sales market – with no physical locations, Amazon.com is running at lower cost than other major retailers – surprisingly, they have very little trouble moving the exact same products. The only downside to not having a physical location is the lofty shipping fees, but those are only shown after a customer has already decided to make a purchase and will only deter the most frugal buyers; all that to say, Amazon.com has a leg up on Cyber Week because they can give out better deals than the other stores – they don’t have to pay overhead costs like rent, or in-store staff (although there is a pretty hefty cost associated with the programmers that make sure the site runs at top notch shape). Amazon.com Cyber Monday deals will probably feature their pride and joy the Kindle, which is currently out of the minds of most Cyber Monday Deal shoppers – who knows, with a little incentive the Kindle could become a hot item this year. Amazon.com is also likely to feature Cyber Monday deals on movies, video games and video game systems.

Circuit City Circuitcity.com

Circuit City is seen by many as the less popular cousin of Best Buy, and as such will try twice as hard to get your attention this Cyber Monday. With comparable brand names and prices to stores like Walmart and Best Buy, Circuit City will be running very competitive brand-name Cyber Sunday sales in 2009 to get consumers to shop there. Circuit City has a wide variety of electronics (pretty much everything from laptops to TVs and home entertainment systems. The cheapest TVs and Home entertainment may be here this year during Cyber Week, but with similar overhead and less income than larger retailers, Circuit City may be forced into slightly less competitive sales this year. If their Thanksgiving Weekend Sale is any indication though, Circuit City will come out with some great 2009 Cyber Monday deals that will bring you back for more. Circuit City coupons, discount codes and special deals can be found on the Circuit City website (circuitcity.com) as well as affiliate coupon code sites. Keep an eye out for Circuit City sales of 50% off or more – these clearance items could make great Christmas gifts (after all, who wouldn’t want a brand new HDTV or computer at a fraction of the retail price?)

Radio Shack Radioshack.com

Radio Shack is not often associated with Cyber Monday, but there are a lot of great deals to be found in this chain of stores – the best sales will probably be in-store, because they have less successful online sales than Best Buy or Amazon.com. The Cyber Monday Deals at Radio Shack will probably include discounts and deals on Video Games, Video Cameras, Computers, Electronic Keyboards, Phones, Dust-Off, and other low end but necessary electronics equipment. Radio Shacks lacking in the online sales department may be a benefit to consumers if they decide they want to increase the visibility of their online store – if they are smart (and they probably are), Radio Shack’s 2009 Cyber Monday Sales will include an online only portion that works using online-only sales coupons.
