The tragic death of Nujabes, or Jun Seba, still has music lovers shocked around the world.

On the 26th Feb, this year, he was killed in a car accident, the same day of a 7.0 earthquake in Japan.

The Japanese hip-hop producer recorded under the name Nujabes, his name spelt backwards.

He was also the owner of the Shibuya Record stores, T Records and Guinness Records, while also being the founder of the independent label Hydeout Productions.

His death at age 36, rocked many in the hip-hop and anime communities. After collaborating with people like Five Deez, CL Smooth, Funky DL and many others, he certainly left his mark on music.

His Hydeout Productions, have stated that even though Nujabes has passed, he left behind a lot of music to continue his legacy.

His family buried him in a private funeral in Shimeyaka.

In 1987, Paul Westerberg and the Replacements, wrote a song called Alex Chilton,and the man who the song was written about passed away from a heart attack,on Thursday aged 59, in New Orleans.

Inspiring bands such as Wilco, R.E.M. and others, he was a cult musician for most of his life.

Recording three studio albums, with the group, Big Star in Memphis during the 70′s. The group was beyond it’s time.

The songs and the music grew in status, as the years went on and several of the songs were covered by other recording artists.

Their music was only recently released again, repackaged in a box set, and was due to be subject of a major panel at the South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin Texas. This was due for Saturday, and to be followed by a concert, to which original performers, Chilton and Jody Stephens were due to perform.

From one of his first singles,  which ended up being the biggest singles of 196, “The Letter,” his soulful rock sound was soon to become recognized.

Although when asked in an interview in 1995 about his music with Big Star, Chilton said, ”In general, I think it’s overrated,” he added. “There are only a few songs that I can stand to play anymore.”

There are rumors on Twitter, that Venezuela has been hit by a 8.2 magnitude earthquake.

With tsunamis alerts, also going out for the islands of the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago.

Estimated to hit at 1.14 am, the message has also been said to be a hoax.

This follows the actual earthquake, which hit California today, at 4.4 magnitude, the earthquake it hit east of downtown Los Angeles. Although there have been no reports of injuries, damages, but there were power shortages.

There is no other information on Venezuela as yet. But one can assume this is just another Twitter, rumour one that has no humour to it at all.

This week, it is a Code Red week for members of Congress. President Barrack Obama, has made pretty strong hints, that he would like a vote on health care by Friday.

Robert Gibbs, who is the White House press secretary, mentioned he assumed that the bill would be passed this week, although some members on the right, have threatened to “Kill the Bill.”

There are Code Red rallies, being held by Washington, D.C., Republicans and also Tea Party members. There are also protesters who are using the Kill The Bill phrase, as they rally, with signs courtesy of the Republican National Committee.

During his radio show, Rush Limbaugh, encouraged people to call their representatives during the radio show today.”The lines are busy. Some people are getting through and some people aren’t, but what you can also do is Google “Code Red.” Just put in “Code Red.” Just search for it.”

There is a website that, Rush was telling people to go to, which listed each state representative and their contact information, it also indicates exactly how they voted last November.

Television shows such as MTV’s, The Hills and The City, have introduced stars like Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port, they have also introduced us to Kelly Cutrone.

The fashion PR guru, who is quite scary at times, with her demanding, no- nonsense demeanour is well known on the shows. To work as her assistant must be a nightmare, but not so for Andrew Mukamal. Mukamal who has been working at People’s Revolution for just over six months, also began taping with Bravo’s Kell on Earth, soon after starting his new job.

Starting as a stylists assistant, working with several freelance stylists, after graduating from school in Virginia. He started working in New York a lot more often, sometimes everyday of the week.

One day when walking into People’s Revolution to do a pick up, Kelly spotted him and said “Are you trying to do something here?” She instantly took a liking to the stylish Mukamal.

After aroud 200 questions, about his clothes, jewelery, and life, she ended up telling Mukamal they were hiring. After offering a vocal resume, she asked for his official resume to be sent across to her that night.

After around two weeks, he was hired as Kelly Cutrone’s assistant

Stating his own style as “sort of androgynous,” one of his favourite designers at the moment is Rick Ownes, who he says, ” is pioneering this, it’s just kind of like a “fuck you” mentality. And I love that.”

Rip the Runway 2010, has started for 2010. The event held at the New York Hammerstein Ballroom on Saturday, was hosted by the actor, Pooch Hill and Rap Artist, Young Money Nicki Minay.

The show which aired on March 15th 2010, also featured performances by Ludachris, Soulja Boy Tell’em, Estelle, Trina and Janelle Monae.

Raj Patel, is an academic, journalist and writer and also a British born American.

He released, and is best known for his book Stuffed and Starved: The Hidden Battle for the World Food System, in 2008. And this year in February his newest book, The Value of Nothing, was on the New York Times best-seller list.

Called everything from the new world teacher, to being criticized for his beliefs, everyone has something to say about the man.

He was asked to testify before the House Financial Services Committee in the USA, on the global food crisis.

Patel also became a US citizen in January 2010.

Procol Harum, released a debut single in May 1967, titled “A Whiter shade of Pale,” that has gained attention ever since.

The song which reached number on the UK singles chart in June 1967, and was there for six weeks.

The single also reached number 5 on the US charts, and this was all without much promotion.

The tune which has a very haunting sound, and vocals by Gary Brooker, and unusual lyrics by Keith Reid, also made it to number one in other countries around the world.

The title coming from a party that Reid was at, where he overheard a guy saying to a girl at the party, that she had “turned a whiter shade of pale.”

It has also been covered up to 900 times by other artists, and has featured on movie soundtracks such as, The Big Chill, Purple Haze, Breaking the Waves, The Boat That Rocked and New York Stories.

Annie Lennox, also did her own version which featured in the film The Net.

Back in 2009 it was the most played song played in public place in the UK, and Phonographic Performance Limited in 2004, named it the most played record by British broadcasting of the past 70 years.

It was also placed as the 57th Greatest Songs of All Time, by Rolling Stone.

In 2009, Matthew Fisher won co-writing credits on the music, in a ruling by te Law Lords of the House Of Lords.

The mistress, of former Presidential candidate John Edwards, Rielle Hunter, has been interviewed and photographed in rather racy shots, for magazine GQ.

The pictures which have been dubbed “repulsive,” by Hunter who, Barbara Walters reportedly spoke to on Monday. This Walters revealed on The View, and that Rielle trusted photographer Mark Seliger, and supposedly “went with the flow,” but is now upset about the photos.

The pictures which feature Hunter, with seemingly no pants on surrounded by stuffed animals and others just as racy, are included in the article in the magazine. Most are showing her in a white shirt, posing on a bed.

Supposedly when seeing the final pictures, she cried for two hours.  Selinger, who is a top portraitist for big glossy magazines, could not be reached for his opinion. GQ Editor in Chief Jim Nelson, said ” I have no idea how she feels about the photos.” “But i think you can see how comfortable she was at the shoot by watching the video” posted by GQ on the Internet.

An incredible talent was featured on CBS’s, 60 Minutes, with Derek Paravicini. Paravicini, is a 30 year old blind savant who hails from England.

This amazing man who has trouble communicating verbally or physically, can play the piano with a talent and a skill, which is sublime.

Interviewed by Lesley Stahl, Paravicini plays requests, and plays effortlessly between genres, classical, pop and braodway tunes.

Paravicni’s most amazing talent, is the ability to play any piece of music that his ears has heard, he can then play that same tune in any genre. Like using a broadway tune, and playing it in jazz style, or alike.

He does this, like he is doing something of the simpliest tasks.

Although when Paravicini is asked to raise three fingers for the camera, he seems lost and awkwardly raises both hands.

The complete difference between his incredible talents, and his inability to communicate are so vastly different that he will touch anyone’s heart.

A savant, with the savant syndrome does not come as talented and extraordinary as Paravicini, most with the ailment do not demonstrate a special talent. Although the signs in some are there of a talent, it is far more subdued.

The Savant Academy, who are a organization who dedicate their time helping people with Savant Syndrome, reveal that there are probably only just over 50 people worldwide who have the sort of talent that Paravicini has.

A statement from their website says: ”Savants may demonstrate, for example, an ability to recite pages of text on a single hearing, to multiply six-digit numbers in their head, or to memorize and perform any song played for them just once. The 1988 film “Rain Man” introduced the concept of an autistic savant to a wider audience. Such prodigious savants are extremely rare.”
