Best Black Friday Deals 2009

There are thousands of ads on TV, radio and the newspapers about black Friday specials. For some unknown reason, black Friday was a relatively unheard occasion in the past, but this year most people have made a big deal about the occasion. Some people truly believe that things really are cheap on Black Friday. Is this really true? Does everything glitter on black Friday?

For the shopper, it is very important to have done the home work because while there are many cheap items on sale, much of the merchandise is in fact made of poor quality material. Surely you do not think that shop owners want to go bankrupt selling everything at low prices? Most shoppers have had a hard time selling anything at all and now is the time to make some money.

There are many miniature computers on the market selling for less than $300. These mini notebooks may be cheap but they have a very small hard drive, small RAM, a fuzzy LED screen and there is no way you will be able increase the memory. In fact you will most likely end up giving the solid state to someone you dislike.

There are also a great many video players on the market at dirt cheap prices, but many of these won’t even connect to your TV or Blu ray players.

Always be prepared and ask questions even though retailer may make it sound that black Friday deals won’t come back again. Do not forget that there is still Christmas to come and New Year’s and then Easter; and each of the occasions is associated with just as many bargains. Buying no name brands may mean spending less money but whether these items actually perform is another story. Horror stories about no name brands exist with many consumers. Like all things in life, you get what you pay for.

Remember most items you buy on sell have very rigid return polices and so if you do not like it, you will have wasted you hard earned money.

Do not fall that rebate trap. First of all many consumers fail to mail in the rebates and many items on sell with rebates are much pricier. So read the fine print and it you do not know the cost of a postage stamp today, rebate products are not for you.

And finally do not fall for door buster bargains. It may sound courageous to stand in a line at 2 am for a TV which is advertized at $100, but rest assured there is no business which will sell you a decent TV that works for such a low price. Almost always when you see the TV, the salesperson will try and suggest an upgrade. In fact the salesperson will even admit that the door buster product is cheap and crap. So in the end you will end up buying a higher priced TV which you could have bought at 4 pm from any other store.

So do your home work, make a list of what you want and take your time. In America there are stores which have sales all year round. Black Friday specials are for people who have money to burn and buys presents for people they are not very fond of.
