Brooke Hundley: I am not a Stalker

Finally we got to hear from Brooke Hundley, the female who was linked with the sex scandal with ESPN broadcaster, Steve Philips. Yesterday on ABC’s Good Morning America show, the distraught Brooke asserted that she did several things wrong but she sure was not a stalker. Said Brooke, “I did things I regret, obviously. People make mistakes at 22,” Hundley told the TV news channel “That’s what I was trying not to do originally, was hurt anybody else or affect anybody else’s lives negatively. But I did things and I thought about things just as an avenue to get people to pay attention, to start asking the right questions, to get me out of a bad situation.”

Brooke claimed that she only contacted Steve’s family to let them know of the affair and that she was in a quandary about her status in the relationship. She insisted that she felt a lot of stress from Steve not to divulge any information about their affair.

“I was in a situation where I felt like if I didn’t do what was asked of me, then everything I had worked for, for the past six years, everything I had done to establish myself as a successful media professional, could be gone like that,” she said.

Brooke also revealed that she had applied a restraining order against Steve in early august after he had seeked her and was threatening to get her fired. She later withdrew the order and Steve eventually dumped her.

However, it turned out that ESPN was not pleased with the unwanted attention and fired both Hundley, who worked as a production aide and Steve Phillips.

In the meantime, Steve has his own problems and a word is that his wife is seeking a divorce. Brooke in the meantime is looking for another job, away from ESPN broadcasters.
