Brooke Hundley joins Steve on the unemployment line

Sunday midnight Steve Phillips got the boot and word from sources inside ESPN say that Brook Hundley has also been terminated. Mike Soltys who represents ESPN said just a few minutes ago that Brooke has been fired but did not give a reason. Steve Phillips was fired Sunday night after having a sexual tryst with Brooke over the summer. That scandal erupted after Steve dumped Brooke, who then went over to his house with a letter for his wife detailing the relationship. ESPN claimed this morning that the damage done by Steve Phillips was irreversible  and permanent after his affair was revealed.

Representative for Steve Phillips  indicate that he is planning to enter an inpatient rehabilitation facility to address both his hyper sexuality and/or his penchant towards young unmarried female interns. Phillips had previously been fired by the Mets for a similar affair. Nearly 10 years ago, Steve admitted to an affair with a Mets employee and then was promptly fired by the Team  in 2003. That case was settled in court but it appears that Steve is a slow learner (but no doubt a great baseball broadcaster). This time the consequences of his behaviour have gone to the extreme.

For Steve the problems are just beginning as his wife, Marni has also filed for divorce. Messages left for ESPN, Steve Phillips and Brooke Hundley all remain unanswered.

Steve Phillips is the latest in a line of celebrities, senators and sports personalities who have committed scandalous behaviour and then entered rehabilitation programs. The only thing to make sure now is that both Steve Phillips and Brooke Hundley do not enter the same rehabilitation program in the same city!
