Cookie Johnson Jeans

Anytime any one goes on the Oprah show it is big news. Last week even Mike Tyson became a super nice celebrity overnight after appearing on the Oprah show. This week it is the Cookie Johnson jeans. Cookie Johnson jeans are for women who have curves and money. So how did these jeans come about? Cookie is Magic Johnson’s business savvy wife and like everything else, she went on the Oprah show, became famous and so did her jeans. The jeans commonly known as CJ are made of denim and in fact are quite nice. But that “nice” also costs an average of $150-$200. Cookie Johnson says she devised the jeans for women who have a figure like hers, “fit but curvy,” she further adds, ““I couldn’t find jeans to fit my body type,” she explains. “It frustrated me to try on every pair in the store and leave with nothing.”

Over the years Johnson became aware that many women had the same problem as her- lots of curves and a wee bit big butt.  So, instead of waiting for a style to appear that would fill her needs, she went ahead and designed the ideal jeans for her and people like her.

Cookie Johnson jeans come in sizes from 24 to 28 and are sold at upscale department stores like Nordstrom’s, Bloomingdale’s and Neiman Marcus. Of course, Oprah loves the jeans and says CJ jeans are her favorite jeans. In fact Oprah claims that cookie jeans are the finest jeans for women with “real booties.” So for all you ladies, you better start saving your money- whenever Oprah says something like it is great or beautiful, it is always sold out.

Finally a jean for women who have a butt. I’m a plus size woman and it’s very difficult to find jeans, because I have a much smaller waist than my larger hips and thighs. When I’m able to to find them, I treat them as GOLD with dry cleaning. I buy the same jean every year from the same place and low and behold they don’t fit, because the company switch vendor– how FRUSTRATING!!! Who designs these jeans anyway!! I hope and pray that Cookie Johnson can/will design some jeans for the plus size population, it would really be appreciated.

    God Bless, Tj
