A local DJ in LA, Matthew Roberts has stumbled across a skeleton in his family closet in which he would probably prefer to be undiscovered.

Roberts was on the search for his biological father, when he found that his father was actually a serial killer.

And no other than Charles Manson!

After locating his own birth mother, he heard the startling facts to his conception, he was born after the result of a rape in 1967.

His birth mother even commented that he looked like hos father saying “You look just like him” said Roberts.

After finding out these life changing facts the revealing sent him into a severe depression.

“I didn’t want to believe it. I was frightened and angry. It’s like finding out that Adolf Hitler is your father,” Roberts stated. “I’m a peaceful person – trapped in the face of a monster.”

Roberts began exchanging mail with Manson to confirm the horrifying facts at the Corcoran State Prison in California.

“He sends me weird stuff and always signs it with his swastika,” Roberts said. “At first I was stunned and depressed. I wasn’t able to speak for a day. I remember not being able to eat.”

Manson’s response is truly disturbing when he remembered raping Terry, Roberts’ birth mother: “The truth is the truth. The truth hurts.”

The worst fears for Matthew is his fear that he has inherited his fathers characteristics him saying:  “I’m not nuts but I’ve got a little bit of it. It’s scary and upsetting. If I get worked up, my eyes get really big and that’s really freaked some people out before. I’ve tried to tone that down quite a bit. I don’t like having that effect on people.”

One thing he wont be doing in the near future is picking up the phone and talking directly to Manson.“If I did talk to Charlie on the phone, I would say, ‘I truly understand what it’s like to be you, more than anyone could ever imagine on so many levels.”

Roberts said: “He’s my biological father – I can’t help but have some kind of emotional connection. That’s the hardest thing of all – feeling love for a monster who raped my mother. I don’t want to love him, but I don’t want to hate him either.”

Robert’s has now been left to face something that would be unimaginable for most of us.

Charles Manson, still continues his life imprisonment sentence changed in 1972 from the death sentence, when the state eliminated it , by a Supreme Court of California decision.
