Lisa Myrick passes
Sad news surrounds the air waves on KATT and KRXO in Oklahoma City. Popular radio personality Lisa Myrick passed away in Georgia on Tuesday. Mystery surrounds her passing with Myrick’s father saying she had went to lay down and never woke up again.
She had a successful career at the stations, although lost her spot on BOB FM after substance abuse ended her career.
Myrick once said she had called in to resign after she had spent the entire weekend under the influence of alcohol.
She had been quoted as saying, “You know, they say one day at a time, sometimes it’s one second at a time, one minute at a time.” “Now, I’m able to string days together. It’s like making a pearl necklace.”
Her family have released a statement saying, “Our hearts are broken that we have lost such an amazing soul. It is our greatest hope that because of her death people will take the results of alcohol and drug abuse seriously.”
There has been an autopsy ordered to find the cause of death.
