My Super Psycho Sweet Sixteen
The plot is simple, young rich teenagers having a party which is crashed by a serial killer- at least this time it is not Jason, Mike or Ogopogo. The star of the show Madison Penrose (Julianna Guill) is a gorgeous flirtatious teen who usually gets what she wants from her rich dad. Instead of her home, the party is held at a rundown roller rink and as expected a notorious serial killer turns up. The story slowly details the evolution of this serial killer over the past decade and how his own daughter (Skye) caught him in the act of killing.
Turn the clock forward and this time, the killer’s daughter is now a star attraction for Madison’s ex “stud” boyfriend Brigg. Brigg is also a great athlete and object for all the female students’ love. The rivalry between Madison and Skye start and the story becomes obvious- team up and get rid of the serial killer
“My Super Psycho Sweet 16″ is the first of a lineup of creative shows MTV network is preparing in an attempt to expand content.
While most of us associate MTV with music, Psycho Sweet 16 does have a fair amount of cut throat scenes. The acting is decent but there is a lot of violence, blood gushing scenes and even a beheading- definitely not for someone who is fainthearted.
MTV producers say they want to give the audience something unique, something never seen before and a lot of surprises including bloody scenes. From my perspective, many such horror movies have come and gone and while the stars and scenes are fresh, the plots are the same. Sometimes the bad guy survives so that a sequel can be made; most times the good guys win. The only good thing about the show is that it is free if you have cable.
My super Psycho Sweet sixteen airs Thursday 23 at 10 pm on MTV.
