In the $5 million Apple Blossom Invitational, it seems that Rachel Alexandra’s owner will not run against the undefeated Zenyatta.
Although, to some it is not really surprising, as trainer Steve Asmussen, would of been expected to ready, Rachel Alexandra, Horse of the Year, from first work to race of the millennium in just under seven weeks.
Seen as giants of the racing world, Rachel Alexandra and Zenyetta, though some would seem to think they are not obtaining the glory, nor the races to show their worth.
With Kentucky Derby’s, Preakness and Belmont, all fighting for a place in airtime space, while also trying to grab the attention of the sports racing fans of America, to which is something the Breeders Cup, unfortunately hasn’t captured as yet.
And it is also something trainers and owners, have to work together to manage. As there are many times when announcements are made, about races or not to race, that are made even to the surprise of someone in the training or owners ranks.
