Operation Chokehold

Thousands of Apple users attempted to bring AT&T’s wireless network to it’s knees, in an effort to protest against their threat of imposition of data usage fees.
But as the hour of Friday from 12 noon to 1pm PST, which was the appointed hour of the attempt, it failed to work.
Dan Lyons wrote in The secret diary of Steve Jobs “As far as I can tell, there’s been no impact at all,” “My iPhone is working just the same as ever. ”
And it was also Lyons who encouraged iPhone users to overwhelm users of AT&T’s network to turn on a data- intensive application and leave it running it for an hour, writing as Fake Steve Jobs. Naming it Operation Chokehold.
The FCC’s chief of homeland security issued a stern warning on Wednesday, which made Lyons have second thoughts about the protest, but buy that time the idea had already grown legs, and was set to happen.
There were reports of slowdowns on the Official facebook page of the Operation Chokehold on Friday but the 3G, At&T’s network was holding up fine.
In one part of New York, Brooklyn , it was noted that the networks performance actually increased in upload and download speeds during the hour.
