Rackspace the hosting company, has run into networking problems at it’s Dallas data center this Friday afternoon, making many of the Web’s hot sites to go down as well.
On the official Rackspace blog on Friday afternoon, there was still no confirmation of the problem. Although several sites such as Mashable and TechCrunch were affected while several others, went to their blogs or Twitter page to vent their outrage.
The Rackspace Cloud Systemt Status blog although did say,
“This is a networking issue affecting Cloud Sites in our DFW data center,” said the blog, while the outrage lasted from 3.45PM to 4.14 Pm CST.
The blog did deny that it was a power issue which was the cause of the Rackspace Dallas-Fort Worth outrage in June.
This also makes it the fourth outrage for Rackspace this year.
Starting in June 2009 with power failures, then July 2009, with more power failures, in November 2009, The Rackspace Cloud Sites and Slicehost goes down due again to power problems, and December 2009, with the current problems.
There is even hundred of tweets, about the issue with a lot an agitated consumers.
