Climate Depot
There is a new website which is gaining interest around the world. Climate depot which allows skepticism and disbelief regarding to climate change.
The site with a particular criticism on Vice President Al Gore, it is like the Drudge Report site in format.
The focus at the moment on the website is an alleged conspiracy between scientists saying that global warming is an elaborate hoax, this being claimed in supposed emails from the University of East Anglia.
Real Climate a reputable group of scientists posted this response on their blog in answer to the claims:
More interesting is what is not contained in the emails. There is no evidence of any worldwide conspiracy, no mention of George Soros nefariously funding climate research, no grand plan to ‘get rid of the MWP’, no admission that global warming is a hoax, no evidence of the falsifying of data, and no ‘marching orders’ from our socialist/communist/vegetarian overlords. The truly paranoid will put this down to the hackers also being in on the plot though.
Often disproved and edited information as well as edited and obscured data is used by Global warming deniers to make their case.
The site uses interesting imagery, and has hundreds of International stories covering everything from ‘Climate changes pushes poor women to prostitution’, to ‘Global warming threatens to rob Italy of pasta’.
There are also numerous responses to speeches and claims by Political Leaders worldwide.
Skepticism, the foundation of science seems to be alive and well with this website.
