The halftime show at the Detroit Lions versus the Green Bay Packers football game, paid tribute to Motown’s past.

New artist’s for Motown, Vita Chambers, Melanie Fiona, Shontelle, Hal Linton, and Forever The Sickest Kids, performed at the game.

They performed some of the best known classics such as “Heatwave, “, “I’ll Be There, “Higher Ground,” “I Heard it through the Grapevine,” “Ain’t no mountain High Enough,” and “Dancing in the Streets.”

Neon Limelight named Melanie Fiona, Shontelle and Hal Hinton as their Artists to watch in Limelight Spotlight.

The performance was dedicated to the legendary recording label’s 50th Anniversary.

Vita Charday Chambers really stood out in the performance, she became a former model at the Gadal Modeling Agency while focusing on her music, her first love.

She first recorded with Chris Allman in the Slam City studios, later being signed to Universal Motown. She released the four songs on My Space and within days was called by Evan Rogers, who came down to meet her and signed her on the spot.
She has been doing promo tours in the States, Europe and soon possibly Asia.
The artist, who is constantly compared to Rihanna hopes to one day win a Grammy.
Universal Motown founded by Berry Gordy Jr, back in 1960, plays a significant role in the racial integration of popular music. It has it’s headquarters in New York City and is a subsidiary of Universal Motown Republic Group, also being a subsidiary of the Universal Music Group.
It’s most popular genres being rhythm and blues, soul, hip hop and pop.
