Blorenge, rhymes with orange………..

The third person to walk away an instant Millionaire on the weekday version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire is bartender Sam Murray from Philadelphia.
Sam had already walked away the week before with $50,000 in the hot seat facing host of Millionaire, Meredith Vieira. He was invited back as one of the members of the Millionaires first ever Tournament of Ten.
Leading up to his big win Sam had some difficult questions to answer , even seemingly waveruing on some. Such questions as “According to the Population Reference Bureau, what is the approximate number of people who have ever lived on earth? A: 50 billion B: 100 billion C: 1 trillion D: 5 trillion” Sam answered the question with 100 billion and which led him to the next round. ( The correct amount it 106.5 billion, they are allowed to round off).
Sam’s son Tim gave him a surprise visit coming from Wisconsin, and sat to watch his dad play for another six episodes.
Friday’s episode saw Sam battling it out with a non-profit program officer Jehan Shamsid- Deen who left after collecting $250,000.
She was unsure of the question and hypothesized the answer of ” A rare example of a word that rhymes with”orange” the Blorenge is a what? A: River in Ireland, B: Forest in Scotland, C: Mountain in Wales, D: Desert in Australia.”
After answering it to be a Mountain in Wales, Jehan decided to not risk losing the money and walked away. Leaving Sam to be become the newest Millionaire.
By the way the answer was C.
Sam responded to Meredith’s question of what the money meant to him saying, “You don’t know what it means to me. I’ve done a million things in my life. I’ve been all over and I’ve just wanted to be able to go back to school. I really like helping sick people and I really want to go back and get my nursing degree. I feel like it’s my calling.”
When asked if he had a “fun thing” he would want to do with the money, Sam said simply, “Jehan was talking about going skydiving & so I’ll go skydiving with ya!”
