Thelma Houston

Thelma Houston, famous for her 1977 hit “Don’t Leave Me This Way” stole the show on the finale of America’s Got Talent.  Houston began her career in 1969 with her first Album “Sunshower”, produced by Jimmy Webb.  In early 1971, she signed with Motown, and after six years of fairly unsuccessful records, she scored a huge hit with Don’t Leave Me This Way, which won her a grammy in 1978.

This year, Houston also preformed on American Idol.
