UAH Shooting
There has been a deadly shooting at the University of Alabama in Huntsville this afternoon.
Three people have been killed, and at least two others are now in critical condition, officials have reported.
Ray Garner a UAH spokesperson, has confirmed that three people were killed at the shooting in the Shelby Center Science building on the campus.
He has also reported, that another injured person had been taken to the Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
Officials at the hospital have told reporters that three other people were injured in the shooting and were being treated, two men and one woman, two of these were in critical condition.
No identities of the victims had been released as yet.
The deadly shooting began just before 4 p.m. said Garner.
He also added that a woman who police say was involved in the shooting has been taken into custody, although they did not report her name.
One rumor is that the shooter is a faculty member who had been denied tenure earlier that day. Although police have not confirmed this as yet.
Garner did confirm that there were five victims which four were faculty and one was a staff member.
