Update on Cyber Monday Online Deals

Cyber Monday Cyber Monday online deals have been running all day, and early indications suggest it hasn’t been a bad fay for retailers, many of whom have been hurting all year.  We still like the Cyber Monday Online deals at Dell, which has had practically its entire line on sale all day.  We also continue to like the deals at Best Buy, which has been in a bitter marketing war with Amazon and Circuit City for the past 10 days.

There were also some unexpected Cyber Monday winners.  The website for Zhu Zhu pets went down for a chunk of the afternoon after “Zhu Zhu Pets Cyber Monday” became one of the most searched terms on google.  The interactive pet hamsters are a popular item this year, and are quickly reaching Tickle me elmo status.

Cyber Monday treated American Girl, a doll manufacturer, well, with the term quickly becoming one of the most searched terms on google by mid morning.

We still like the deals at relative newcomer Tigerdirect.com.  Tiger Direct’s cyber monday online deals are pretty significant because the site is desperately trying to establish itself in a market already dominated by amazon.com.

We’re going to keep watching, and will post regular updates.
