We are the World 2010 Video
A special tribute has happened for the We Are The World remake. With Michael Jackson appearing to sing a duet with his sister Janet in the music video for the newly re-released song.
The megastar Michael is seen along side Janet in a split screen, similar to one’s that have used for other beyond the grave duets. Utilizing footage from the video from the original clip from 1985 original.
The song, originally written by Jackson and Lionel Richie, was performed as duet as an ode to the King of Pop, as a request from Katherine, Michael’s mother.
Other performers who sang as part of the 81 member choir, were stars like Pink, Kayne West, Barbra Streisand, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Jeff Bridges and Nicole Ritchie.
The mass of world famous stars, collected at the Henson Studios in Los Angeles, two weeks ago to record and perform the charity song for support of the Haitian earthquake relief.
The video for the 2010 version of We Are The World, was directed by the Academy Award winning, Paul Haggis.
