Why is Walmart criticised while Targot is never mentioned?
Public Relations Q&A provided by users on Yahoo! Answers.
Recently I went to a Targot store because I had a coupon to use. Once there I realized literally everything is made in china where as when I shop at Walmart there are products made in USA and other countries next to the china made products?
I left Targot without buying anything as I prefer US products these days, bit wondered why one never hears negative publicity against Targot? Also, is Targot a Chinese company?
Correction for the idiots seeking 2 points and are unable to figure out the store Target (when spelled Targot) and do not really have any knowledge to share. I meant the store Target.
no, but they do that so they can make even more of a profit
they buy it cheap from china and then they sell it at a higher price than the average store.
Never heard of Targot. You must mean Target!
Walmart has a reputation that started out with a All American attitude but ever since Sam Walton died it’s taken on the typical corporate greed concept. Besides there are products sold at Target that are made in the USA. Maybe you didn’t check out all the departments.
Before you call people idiots think about the idiot who didn’t know how to spell Target right in the first place! Or were you just too lazy to check your spelling because criticised is spelled criticized and it’s China with a capitol “C”. Hahahahahahha! You must be a real simpleton. Besides I don’t need the 2 points.
Hey next time you go to Walmot or Targot pick up a dictionary! LMAO!!!
Targot will never be mentioned because it doesn’t exist
Wal-Mart is the biggest and baddest corporation out there these days.(by that i mean its by far the best). So everyone’s attention has swung to them, and you know those dam critics, have to find something bad about everyone so they pick on walmart. The effect of this, is that smaller corps like Target and Kmart go unnoticed. However, this will soon lead to their downfall.
Over the summer, Kmart was on its way out of business, till they teamed up with Sears, another corp struggling to compete with Walmart. Now these 2 businesses can continute to run strong, yet never as strong as Wal-mart.
Af your your question about target being chinese, i really don’t know, sorry.
No, Target is not a Chinese company. Wal*Mart is the worlds largest retailer, and being such is open to more criticism than any other.
Many people that spend almost every shopping dollar at Wal Mart will come on these forums and find all kinds of fault with them, and deny they shop there, I guess they figure it’s the thing to do.
Wal Mart is also one of the worlds largest employers, no matter if they”re not paying their help 6 figures a year, at least these people have jobs they wouldn’t have without Wal Mart.
All stores today in this country has their shelves full of crap made in China, yes, even the high end, high price stores, and include L.L.,Bean in that group.
All department stores sell Chinese goods. They don’t have a choice. Many products are not made in the U.S. Also, consumers have made it very clear that they would rather buy cheap foreign-made goods rather than pay more for American-made goods. Any business that ignores this will be out of business.
Whether its fair or not, Walmart gets criticized because it is the largest and most successful retailer and carries a lot of foreign goods. The criticism also extends beyond Chinese goods. They have a reputation for paying their employees poorly, providing little in the way of benefits, and not treating them well.
No, Target is not a Chinese company. It is a publicly traded American company (stock symbol TGT).
