Tom Brokaw Accident

Former NBC news anchor Tom Brokaw was involved in a serious car accident in the Bronx on Friday night.
The car driven by Brokaw, was involved in a three vehicle crash. Where a woman Suejas Estrada of the Bronx was killed, being thrown from her vehicle, a 1998 Ford Expedition.
Brokaw and his wife Merideth came away from the accident unhurt.
The accident on the Brukner Expressway at 12.57 pm, looks to have been caused by a spool of cable on the road.
Brokaw, 69 said, that he was in the highway’s left lane when the Ford S.U.V. “came up fast,” trying to avoid a spool of cable bouncing in the right lane. The Expedition veered left, forcing a Postal Service truck in the center lane into the left lane ahead of Mr. Brokaw’s wagon, in a statement issued through NBC.
Police reported that the northbound Expedition hit the mail truck, which drove onto a road divider separating the north and south lanes and veered onto a shoulder.
Police also said the driver of that mail truck ,was taken to the Westchester Medical Center with bumps and bruising to his shoulder.
In the statement it was also said “As the mail truck careened into the Brokaw lane, Tom hit the brakes hard and skidded along the median,”and continued with. “When the mail truck catapulted the median, the Brokaw vehicle slid into it.”
The accident slowed traffic for several hours on Friday afternoon, when it occurred near where the Bruckner merges with the Sheriden Expressway.
The wire that seemingly caused the accident, still had not been found as of Friday evening. Police claiming there was no criminality involved.
