SNL Tiger Woods Skit
With most scandals that happen, you can be sure that Saturday Night Live will include it in a skit.
This has now happened for Golfing Pro, Tiger Woods amid the scandals he is now facing.
The worlds greatest golfer and his wife Elin were parodied in the spoof on the late night comedy show.
He was also included in jokes featured on their “Weekend Update”, which come only just over a week after the early morning accident, outside his Florida home that led to the most sensational scandal to hit the sporting world this year.
Woods wife Elin, was rumoured to have had chased Woods with a golf club from the home as he drove. Although Woods defended his wife stating she used the clubs to rescue him from the car accident.
The allegations included this following an argument regarding his affair, with Rachel Uchitel.
This then led to now several women claiming affairs with the World Number One golfer. One Jaimee Grubbs even releasing a phone message from Woods.
Woods then released a statement, apologizing for his “sins” and “transgressions”.
The skit featured a parody of Woods in a CNN breaking story alert, where is showed a faux news conference, showing Kenan Thompson playing Woods, apologizing with his wife Elin beside him.
In the NBC comedy, it then showed the apology , Woods mentioning multiple transgressions, in which leads his wife to scream ” multiple?” and the screen cuts to a new alert, reporting Woods had been taken back to hospital after he “fell down a flight of stairs and threw himself through a plate-glass window.”
“I’ve been really clumsy this week,” Thompson says while playing Woods , while dressed in a Woods logo black cap and the red shirt as often seen on Woods in final rounds.
In the skit when his phone rings, the character of Elin asks “Who is that?” to then lead to yet another screen cut news break, saying Woods was hit by his own car.
“Talk about a case of the Mondays,” says “Woods”. “This is all my fault. Believe it or not I ran over myself.” “One good thing is I can get rid of this old thing and get a new model,” again angering “Elin” to only again lead to a news break, this time “Woods” returning a golf club bent over his head.
The skit continues on to parody the pair. In the Weekend Update jokes like “Last week Tiger Woods hit a tree and a bunch of ladies fell out,” were told by Seth Meyers.
It seems that this scandal for Wood’s will not be quietening down any time soon, in real life or in faux reality.
