Marie Osmonds Sons Funeral

The funeral of Marie Osmond’s 18 year old son, was held Monday.

The funeral service was filled with memories, love and music.

Donny Osmond, Michael Bryan’s uncle asked during and opening prayer, “Bless my sister,” as he broke into tears. “Bless my sister and her family.”

Six of Bryan’s seven siblings, spoke fondly of their brother, telling of his warmth, telling that he was a lighthearted person, and how he was also a deep thinker.

Bryan’s sister Rachel Blosil 20 said, “He was a man of his word. He wasn’t a talker, he was a doer. He was reliable,”  “He knew my hopes, he knew my dreams, my secrets, things that nobody knows. He was my best friend.”

Bryan died on Feb 26th, according to police in Los Angeles, who have told of the apparent suicide, after jumping from the eighth floor of the Metropolitan Apartment building.

There are still toxicology and autopsy reports, due to confirm details in his death.

There was a note left by Bryan, although no details have been released, police said.

Bryan was one of five children that Marie Osmond adopted, and Bryan had used his adoptive father’s last name Blosil previously. There was a petition granted in October 2009, in Utah’s district court, for a legal name change.

Brian Blosil and Marie, divorced in 2007, after a long two decades of marriage, and it was in the same year that Bryan had entered a rehabilitation facility, but it was never mentioned what he was there for.

Marie who was not due to speak at the funeral, but said “Thank you for those beautiful 18 years.”

Around 450 mourners attended the service at the Provo temple, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Bryan’s service ended with a traditional Mormon hymn, sung by Marie Osmond and her brothers.

At the site of the grave, the family had written messages onto orange balloons, and released them into the air.
