The name Zoe Pound is gaining interest on the Internet, especially on Goggles trends list. And while it may seem like a sweet innocent girls name it isn’t.
Zoe Pound it the title for a Haitian-American street gang. Six of the decade old gang face alleged charges of racketeering and conspiracy, after a lengthy investigation into the gang, State and Local officials announced Thursday.
The gang often referred to in Hip Hop circles, often gain noteriety from shout out’s from Florida’s Rick Ross.
The six arrested all have at least 11 prior arrests, and up to 2 convictions.
The gang of around 50 supposedly have been involved with crimes such as, attempted murder, robbery, drug dealing, dealing in stolen property, theft and acts of violence.
Police Chief Sean Baldwin said about the gang, “Taking down these particular six members of the Zoe Pound gang is going to have a tremendous impact on the safety and security of the streets of Fort Pierce,” he continued. “We’re going to continue to chase these violent gang members down and put them in prison for life.”
