Karo Parisyan controversy!

November 19th, 2009 Latest News No comments

karoparisyanNews Trends Armenian fighter Karo Parisyan, has pulled out of a fight with Dustin Hazelett. There has been so reason announced.

After coming off a drug suspension after nine months, also pulled out last minute at UFC 88.

The fighter has struggled with an anxiety disorder and panic attacks during the past, UFC President Dana White obviously isn’t pleased with the reasons : ” Pulled out of the fight the day before weigh ins again with a laundry list of excuses!! Let the press ask Karo why! Let him explain.” said White.

He also added, “Karo Parisyan has (expletive) over the UFC, the fans and his opponent again!!! He will not be fighting Saturday or ever again in the UFC,!!!” White tweeted.

Parisyan is an Armenian American mixed martial artist. His family migrated to America when the fighter was aged two.

His main fighting style of Judo was started when his father began taking him to Judo lessons because he used to beat his sisters, and this would be a way for him to have on outlet for his anger.

He was training with Gokor Chivichyan a fellow Armenian.

The decline of his career began when he was scheduled to fight Yoshiyuki Yoshida at UFC 88 Breakthorough, but suffering a back injury he was forced to drop out before weigh ins.

After his next fight at UFC 94 against Kim Dong-hyun, Parisyan defeated Kim in a spilt decision which was full of controversy. He was then tested positive to banned painkillers such as Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone and Oxymorphone. He was suspended pending a full hearing in mid March then in March 200 the NSAC suspended him for nine months for use of the painkillers allegedly used for the back /hamstring injury.

After Dana White’s comments it looks as though Parisyan has fought his last fight, and will find it hard to be reinstated into the UFC ever again.
